Maxraft insulated foundation

For our November update, I thought I’d let you know more about the MAXRaft foundation that we completed on our recent project.

We use this type of foundation on most of our queenstown builds now, and the two main reasons for this is that it’s an insulated foundation which means it’s an excellent way to hold onto heat and slowly release it - so that you have a really warm, comfortable, and healthy, home. This also means an energy efficient house and lower power bills - keeping your home warm in winter and cool in summer.

The other bonus for using this product is that it is super straight forward to construct. If you have a reasonably flat site to begin with, you can have the foundation set up ready to pour concrete in one day. A great way to achieve a strong, safe, foundation that is designed specifically for your site and plans, and still have a low labour cost.

Check out the photos and time lapse of the MAXRaft foundation being constructed on our latest Queenstown project, definitely not your average flat, suburban site - being on the side of a mountain and with epic views of Lake Wakatipu, this foundation took our team of three guys, two days to complete.

Get in touch with us if you’re thinking about building and you’re keen to chat about your plans, and here’s a link to the MAXRaft website for more details and speciations about their product.
